When to Mulch?

Put it in place early enough that it blocks weeds form growing but wait until the soil has warmed and some of the moisture left from winter snow has dried.

Mulch Depth Tips

• New planting beds 2"- 3", great for weed retardant and moisture retention.
• Top dress existing beds in the spring 1-2"
• Protect perennials for the winter 2"
